Come join us for a cozy evening at The Fharmacy Public House (Tyranena Brewing Co) as we bring to life Michael Perry’s captivating tale, Population: 485.
The story is set in New Auburn, Wisconsin, where the local vigilante is a farmer’s wife armed with a pistol and a Bible, the most senior member of the volunteer fire department is a cross-eyed butcher with one kidney and two ex-wives (both of whom work at the only gas station in town), and the back roads are haunted by the ghosts of children and farmers.
Against a backdrop of fires and tangled wrecks, bar fights and meat raffles, Population: 485 brings us the comic and sometimes heartbreaking true tales of a rural Wisconsin volunteer fire department. Get ready for a night filled with laughter, heartwarming moments, and a touch of small-town charm you won’t want to miss!
Each ticket includes dinner, entertainment, server gratuity and two beverage tokens (that can be used during the performance or any time in the future).
Our menu theme for this performance is “Not-Your-Midwestern-Mama’s Potluck”. We’ll offer you our upscale twist on classics you’ve definitely enjoyed in a church basement once or twice: hot ham sammies, funeral potatoes, green bean casserole & more!
This performance is geared toward adults; some content, loud noises and humor may be inappropriate for younger ears. Young adults with parental supervision may attend; no infants, toddlers or young children are permitted.
Also, please note, the performance will take place on the second floor of The Fharmacy Public House. As there is no elevator, attendees will need to traverse a flight of stairs to view the performance. There are, however, second floor restrooms for attendees’ use.

Opened in 1999, Tyranena Brewing Company has produced craft beer in Lake Mills for over 22 years. Their Tasting Room and Beer Garden are a draw to the area, offering beverages and often free live music performances for residents and visitors alike.
Venue
Tyranena Brewing Company’s second Lake Mills location, The Fharmacy Public House, features two floors of seating in a historic building that was home for many years to a pharmacy (as well as a grocery store, doctors’ offices and more).
Enjoy the pub-like atmosphere with a large stage for performances, a rooftop patio overlooking idyllic Commons Park and an outdoor beer garden on Lake Mills’ quintessential small town Main Street.
