The Fall Festival of Color is one of Lake Millsâ most anticipated seasonal events, held every year on the first Sunday of October from 9 AM to 3 PM in scenic Common Park, right in the heart of historic downtown Lake Mills, Wisconsin.
This free admission event is a celebration of everything we love about autumnâbrilliant colors, delicious food, handmade treasures, and family fun in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The event is proudly chaired by Susie Wares, who has led this festival for 26 years and continues to make it a signature Lake Mills tradition.
đ Over 150 Vendors â Shop Local, Support Local
Wander through rows of local artists, crafters, farmers, and makers selling a wide variety of items, including handmade jewelry, pottery, paintings, woodworking, fresh produce, fall flowers, and home dĂŠcor.
Itâs the perfect chance to support local small businesses while picking up one-of-a-kind gifts and seasonal favorites.

From warm apple cider and pumpkin desserts to savory street food and farm-to-table snacks, thereâs something for every taste. Vendors source locally when possible, helping us highlight the best of Jefferson County agriculture and Wisconsinâs food culture.

The Tooles â Performing 9:00 AMâ12:00 PM and again from 1:00 PMâ3:00 PM, this lively Celtic rock band brings high-energy performances with Irish pub favorites, modern folk, and original tunes. Their engaging stage presence and upbeat sound keep the crowd clapping, dancing, and smiling all day long.

The Stoughton Norwegian Dancers â At 12:00 PM, donât miss this nationally recognized high school dance group from Stoughton, Wisconsin. Dressed in authentic Norwegian costumes, these talented students perform traditional Scandinavian dances that celebrate heritage, culture, and joy. Their performance has been a highlight for festival-goers of all ages year after year.
