The Cajun Strangers are a premier dance band specializing in the traditional music of Southwest Louisiana and East Texas. A local fixture for over 20 years, the group is celebrated for its authentic reproduction of the “porch music” tradition, blending energetic two-steps, waltzes, Cajun swing, and zydeco. The band’s repertoire consists largely of songs sung in Cajun French, performed on traditional instruments like the button accordion and fiddle.They have achieved significant recognition within the Cajun music community having twice won the prestigious Prix Dehors de Nous award (2007 and 2010) from the Cajun French Music Association in Louisiana, which honors the best Cajun album released by a band outside of Louisiana and East Texas.Wicked Smoke BBQ is a professional barbecue operation based in Fort Atkinson that transitioned from a world-class competition team to a popular food truck.
