Lake Mills Recreation Department

The Lake Mills Recreation Department was founded through the Lake Mills School District in 1982. Prior to 1982, the city of Lake Mills operated the Recreation Department. The individuals involved at the time recognized that by offering a school district recreation department, the tax burden is spread out equally across those in the district and there is an increased ability to maximize resources. Additionally, by offering a Recreation Department through the school district, the community is afforded better access to quality school facilities for recreational programming and the partnership with the district further strengthens the partnership with the Lake Mills Community. It is our vision to provide our entire community with a variety of high quality recreational activities that promote overall wellness of our community members.
